Joanna Macapinlac Delaney, D.O.
Dr. Joanna M. Delaney received her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Davis and medical degree at Midwestern University-Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency at Georgetown University where she also served as chief resident. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She is currently an assistant professor at Georgetown University and was on faculty with the Georgetown University Family Medicine Residency Program prior to joining PPA. Dr. Delaney practices traditional and osteopathic medicine, providing care for infants, children and adults. She is fluent in Spanish and her interests include preventive medicine and women's health.
Rebecca Musher Gross, M.D.
Dr. Rebecca Musher Gross received her undergraduate degree at Harvard College and her M.D. at Baylor College of Medicine in 1998. She completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and is board-certified both by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Gross cares for newborns, children, teenagers and adults for both preventive care as well as the management of acute and chronic diseases. She is fluent in Spanish.
Bradley J. Hunter, D.O.
Dr. Bradley J. Hunter received his undergraduate degree at Shippensburg University and his D.O. at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in 1999. He completed his residency in family practice at Albany Medical Center and is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He cares for newborns, children and adults, providing traditional medical as well as osteopathic care. His special interests are osteopathic manipulative therapy and sports medicine.
Uma Jayaraman, M.D.
Dr. Uma Jayaraman received her undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University and medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency at Georgetown University where she also served as chief resident and is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Prior to joining PPA, she completed a fellowship in medical editing and faculty development with American Family Physician and Georgetown University. She is currently an assistant editor for American Family Physician and an assistant professor at Georgetown University. Dr. Jayaraman practices full spectrum family medicine, providing care for infants, children and adults.
Richard H. Pollen, M.D.
Dr. Richard H. Pollen received his undergraduate degree at Union College and his M.D. at University of Rochester. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington and his fellowships in endocrinology at the University of Washington and University of California – San Francisco. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine as well as by the American Board of Endocrinology. Dr. Pollen is a former Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Holy Cross Hospital and a former assistant professor of medicine at Georgetown University.
Steven M. Schwartz, M.D.
Dr. Steven M. Schwartz received his undergraduate degree at Wesleyan University and his M.D. at Tufts University School of Medicine in 1994. He completed his residency in family practice at Georgetown University. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He is currently an assistant professor at Georgetown University in the Department of Family Medicine and is the Clinical Clerkship Director for the Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Schwartz, whose special interests are in sports medicine, dermatology and integrative medicine, provides primary care to newborns, children and adults. He also performs osteopathic manipulative therapy.
Asha Subramanian, M.D.
Dr. Asha Subramanian received her B.A. and M.A. in psychology with Honors and Distinction from Stanford University in 1995. She received her combined M.D./Master of Public Health degree from Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine in 2000 and completed her family medicine residency in 2003 at the University of Pittsburgh St. Margaret Hospital. In 2004, Dr. Subramanian completed a fellowship in community health at Georgetown University Medical Center. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Georgetown University in the Department of Family Medicine. Her professional interests include integrative medicine, nutrition, health behavior change, and community health. Dr. Subramanian provides primary care to children and adults, and speaks Spanish. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
James E. Wilson Jr., M.D.
Dr. James E. Wilson Jr. received his undergraduate degree at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., and his M.D. at the University of Guadalajara, Mexico in 1972. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Emory University and is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Wilson is fluent in Spanish.
About Our Physician Assistants
Physician Assistants (PA’s) are skilled professionals who provide medical services under the supervision of the physicians. For example, PA’s take medical histories, perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses and order and interpret laboratory tests. Patient education and counseling are also important aspects of a PA’s daily activities.
Nicole Koch, B.A., M.M.S., PA-C
Nicole Koch received her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science and Physical Education from McDaniel College in May 2005. She graduated from Anne Arundel Community College’s Physician Assistant Program with a master’s degree in medical science in August 2008. She is a board-certified physician assistant.
Kellie A. Power, B.S., M.P.A.S., PA-C
Kellie Power graduated from Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania in 2003 with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science. She continued on to Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA to earn a Masters of Physician Assistant Science in 2007. She is a board-certified physician assistant.
Amanda V. Sultani, B.S., M.H.S., PA-C
Amanda Sultani graduated from George Washington University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and continued on to Drexel University to earn a Master of Health Science in 2008. She is a board-certified physician assistant.
