Suvarnarekha Kammula, M.D.
 

Dr. Suvarnarekha Kammula received her undergraduate degree at Yale University and her medical degree at University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Northwestern University in Chicago and Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. She graduated from Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda. Dr. Kammula is an internist, certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and has been in practice since 1999.


Meena G. Andrew, D.O.

Dr. Meena G. Andrew received her undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech University, a master’s degree in public health from George Washington University and her medical degree at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. She completed her internal medicine residency at Wake Forest University. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Andrew has been a practicing internist since 2007.


Dave Chen, M.D.

Dr. Dave Chen received his undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago and his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at UCLA Medical Center. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Chen has been a practicing internist since 2002.


Brent K. Cole, M.D.

Dr. Brent K. Cole received his undergraduate degree at Penn State University and his medical degree at Cornell University Medical College. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Maryland. Dr. Cole is an internist, certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and has been in practice since 2000.


David W. Hirshfield, M.D.

Dr. David W. Hirshfield received his undergraduate degree at the University of New Mexico and his medical degree at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He completed his internal medicine residency at the David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in California. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Hirshfield has been a practicing internist since 1997.


Andrea C. Karp, M.D.

Dr. Andrea C. Karp received her undergraduate degree at Georgetown University and her medical degree at the University of Maryland. She completed her internal medicine residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Karp has been a practicing internist since 1999.


Lakshmi S. Sastry, M.D.

Dr. Lakshmi S. Sastry received her undergraduate degree and her medical degree at the Osmania University, India. She completed her internship at the University of Washington, Seattle, and her internal medicine residency at George Washington University. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Sastry has been a practicing internist since 1999. She has been appointed to the faculty of George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences as an assistant clinical professor of medicine.


Rajshree Thaker, M.D.

Dr. Rajshree Thaker received her undergraduate degree at Purdue University and her medical degree at Finch University of Health Sciences, The Chicago Medical School. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. Dr. Thaker is an internist, certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and has been in practice since 2004.


About Our Physician Assistants

Physician Assistants (PA’s) are skilled professionals who provide medical services under the supervision of the physicians. For example, PA’s take medical histories, perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses and order and interpret laboratory tests. Patient education and counseling are also important aspects of a PA’s daily activities.

Danya Allen, M.H.S, PA-C

Danya Allen, M.H.S, PA-C, received her undergraduate degree from University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2006. She graduated in 2013 from Duke University Physician Assistant Program with a Master of Health Sciences. Danya is a Board Certified Physician Assistant and has been in practice since 2013.


Kathryn C. Hawkes, PA-C

KC Hawkes, PA-C, received her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from the University of Scranton in 2013. She graduated in 2015 from Marywood University in Scranton, PA with her masters in Physician Assistant Studies. KC is a Board Certified Physician Assistant and has been in practice since 2015.


Anne Milam, PA-C

Anne Milam, PA-C received her undergraduate degree from University of Oregon in 2006, graduating with honors and Phi Beta Kappa. She graduated from Pace University in New York, NY in 2014 with her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. Annie is a Board Certified Physician Assistant and has been in practice since 2014.


Tamar Zakheim, M.H.S., M.S.H.S., PA-C

Tamar Zakheim received her undergraduate degree from Barnard College, Columbia University in New York, NY. Tamar holds two Masters degrees - she graduated in 2007 from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health with a Masters of Health Sciences, and in 2012 from George Washington University with a Masters of Science in Health Sciences and Physician Assistant Studies. Tamar is a Board Certified Physician Assistant and has been in practice since 2012.
